1. Head of Operations & Market Risk, Bahrain

Our client, a prestigious bank is looking for a Head of Operations & Market Risk to join their expanding team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate who reports to the General Manager of Group Risk, has to manage portfolio credit risk, market risk and operational risk of the bank.


Responsibilities:

Monitor, update and manage the Business Continuity Plan on an ongoing basis.

Assess and establish internal controls with regard to processes, products and services introduced by the bank.

Establish systems and procedures to monitor risks and generate periodic reports to inform management of risk profile.

Implement systems of exception reporting to capture instances of potential non-compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage analysis of operational risk data and implement corrective action as required, setting appropriate limits and procedures to mitigate risks.

Requirements:

Must have a CA, MBA or equivalent qualification.

At least 15 to 20 years of overall experience in a bank or consultancy, including about 5 years of similar experience in a bank in the GCC.

Competent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Fluency in English as well as Arabic.

2. Assistant / Deputy Manager of Insurance Medical Services, Bahrain

A Middle East based insurance organization is looking for an Assistant/ Deputy Manager of Insurance Medical Services to join their expanding team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate has to assist the medical claims team with processing claims.

Responsibilities:

Study all the price lists, handle reconciliations and visit the medical providers on a regular basis.

Communicate with insured members on their claims and on any request coming from an insured member.

Lead the implementation of strategies with healthcare providers, ensuring benefits for the company and its members.

Handle relations with the medical providers which include negotiating all the discounts and validate all medical claims in IT system.

Supervise in-patient cases; investigate client's complaints against medical providers and take necessary steps to promptly resolve matter.

Requirements:

University degree in insurance, ideally with a professional Insurance certification such as CM, ACM, FCII or equivalent, though an additional General Practitioner diploma will be an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the life and medical insurance field in the GCC.

Fluency in English as well as Arabic.

Our client, a Middle East based commercial bank is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to join their expanding team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate has to provide a budget plan and contribute to the preparation of overall strategy and plan for the internal audit department.


Responsibilities:

Develop and implement appropriate risk assessment parameters in order to evaluate portfolios.

Monitor post-audit follow up of the audit reports and ensure compliance with recommendations.

Identify risk areas during audit review process and make practical recommendations to reduce or eliminate risks.

Review portfolios quality and risk management of relevant exposures of the bank in order to assess and evaluate performance.

Requirements:

University degree preferably Masters in Commerce/ Finance/ Business or related discipline, though an additional professional qualification such as CA/CPA/CIA/CISA will be preferred.

At least 10 years of experience in commercial banks in the GCC of which 5 years should be in the internal audit department or alternatively must have 10 years of experience in reputed audit firms in the GCC, with extensive exposure to the financial services industry.

Fluency in English and Arabic.
