1. Head of Remedial Management, Bahrain

One of Bahrain's top performing banks is looking to
recruit a Head of Remedial Management. This position
reports to the GM of Domestic Banking Group. The
incumbent should have strong understanding of Retail,
Commercial, Corporate, Banking and Credit life cycle
management. The ideal candidate has to enhance the
profitability of the Bank by reducing credit losses
and keep Management informed of risks that affect
profitability in the lending and collection areas.


Responsibilities:

Train and develop the collection specialists to
improve the efficiency of collections within the bank.

Receive termination/resignation/retirement letters
from Employers and ensure freezing of accounts.

Provide Management with portfolio analysis and data
highlighting trends in the lending portfolio and
suggest changes to the lending criteria.

Manage a team of collectors to follow-up and remedy
past dues on Retail Loans, Credit Cards, Commercial &
Corporate Banking and classified accounts.

Track the market for developments that will provide
Management and business units with proactive
information to alter lending policies or credit
approval strategy.

Requirements:

• University degree or similar professional
qualification.

• Minimum 10 years of Retail Banking experience,
of which 5 years must be in Consumer Loans collection
department of a professional bank, preferably in an
International Bank in the GCC. Also must have exposure
to Commercial and Corporate banking remedial
management.

• Must have excellent PC skills and should be
familiar with statistical and mathematical analysis.

2. Internal Audit Manager, Bahrain

Our client, a Middle East based commercial bank is
looking for an Internal Audit Manager to join their
expanding team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate has to
provide a budget plan and contribute to the
preparation of overall strategy and plan for the
internal audit department.


Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement appropriate risk
assessment parameters in order to evaluate portfolios.

• Monitor post-audit follow up of the audit
reports and ensure compliance with recommendations.

• Identify risk areas during audit review
process and make practical recommendations to reduce
or eliminate risks.

• Review portfolios quality and risk management
of relevant exposures of the bank in order to assess
and evaluate performance.

Requirements:

• University degree preferably Masters in
Commerce/ Finance/ Business or related discipline,
though an additional professional qualification such
as CA/CPA/CIA/CISA will be preferred.

• At least 10 years of experience in commercial
banks in the GCC of which 5 years should be in the
internal audit department or alternatively must have
10 years of experience in reputed audit firms in the
GCC, with extensive exposure to the financial services
industry.

Job Description:-

The ideal candidate has to be the primary liaison for communication and resolution of key accounting, reporting and control issues.



Responsibilities:

Develop reporting tools for the management to facilitate decision making.
Ensure compliance with all local and corporate statutory laws, rules and regulations.
Identify risks associated with each business process and build controls to mitigate risks.
Ensure financial accounting reports accurately reflect the financial condition of the business.
Implement Best Practice tools which improve the effectiveness of financial transaction processing and reporting.



Requirements:

University degree in Finance and Accounting, ideally a qualified CA / ICAEW / CPA.
At least 5 + years of audit experience in a managerial position in the GCC, with a strong manufacturing experience especially in MNC costing setup.
Must have the leadership skills and capability to replace Finance Manager within a maximum of 2 years.
Good understanding of IAS / US GAAP standards and excellent advanced Excel or ERP skills.
